Accessories & Controls
Everything that completes an automation installation: transmitters and receivers, Module 4 gear racks, safety photocells and airbags, warning lamps, push-button stations, electric locks, GSM/Wi-Fi connectivity modules and solar or battery power.
What is a accessories & control?
Gate automation accessories are the control, safety and power components fitted alongside a gate, door or barrier motor: remotes and receivers for command, photocells and edges for safety, racks and locks for mechanical function, and GSM, Wi-Fi or solar modules for connectivity and power.

How to choose a accessories & control
- Every vehicle-gate installation should include at least one pair of photocells and a warning lamp.
- Check the receiver frequency and coding (rolling code) when adding remotes to an existing installation.
- Racks must match the motor pinion module — all Rollvento sliding motors are Module 4.
- Choose GSM modules where there is no Wi-Fi at the gate; choose Wi-Fi/Tuya modules for app control within network range.
- Solar kits need a battery box; size the panel to daily cycles and local sunlight hours.
Installation notes
- Photocells are mounted in facing pairs, aligned so the receiver LED confirms beam lock before the board is programmed.
- Racks are fitted in sections with a spacer so the pinion never carries the gate weight.
- Receivers and modules connect to the motor control board via the accessory terminals or the board’s plug-in socket.
- Warning lamps are wired to the flasher output and positioned to be visible from both approach directions.
Installation is carried out by authorised Rollvento dealers and installers. Wiring diagrams and sizing support are available from technical support.
Accessories & Controls: common questions
Which accessories are essential for a gate motor installation?
A pair of safety photocells across the opening, a warning lamp, and a manual release key are the minimum for any vehicle gate. Add a push-button station for on-site control and remotes for users.
Can I add a GSM or Wi-Fi module to an existing motor?
Yes. GSM and Wi-Fi modules connect to the control board’s dry-contact command input, so they work with any motor that accepts a push-button input — including third-party operators.
What size solar panel do I need for a gate motor?
It depends on daily cycles, motor power and local sun hours. As a guide, a residential gate opening 10–20 times a day can run from a 20–40 W panel with a 12 V battery; commercial gates need larger panels and battery capacity. Ask engineering for a sizing based on your usage.
